Cessna’s New Fighting Machine

By Robert Mark on September 2nd, 2010

162BS For those skeptics who just a few years ago tore into Cessna Aircraft as the development of the Skycatcher began to move ahead, comes this photo of the mighty Cessna 162 going nose to nose with one of America’s finest F-18s in the ultimate stare down contest on the Yingling Aviation ramp in Wichita recently.

I swear I saw the F-18 blink.

You’re not kidding. And you should see the AC-162 Cessna is working on.

It has Piper & Cirrus-detecting Sidewinders.

If you look carefully, I think there are bottle rockets under the 162’s wings…JATO?

That’s a good tail number for the Cessna N162″BS” because that’s what the Chinese manufactured plane really is. The only way Cessna is going to sell them is to hold dealers hostage by not supplying them with the real Cessna line if they don’t take the offshore joke.
